As a qualified nurse I am naturally interested in promoting health. As a great believer in preventative medicine, and maintaining the body’s immune system to prevent disease and illness, alternative therapy seemed to be a natural progression.

Internationally qualified with an ITEC Diploma in Therapeutic Massage, Anatomy and Physiology in November 1999 and an IHHT Diploma in Reflexology in 2002. Registered with Federation of Holistic Therapists.

What is Reflexology.

We all know that when we hurt or injure ourselves we rub it better. Similarly, massage is a natural healing art that can gently induce a sense of well being. Massaging the reflex areas on the feet and the hands which correspond with various zones releasing congested energies and relieving certain conditions.

The art of massage has been used since the very early ages. It was first introduced to Europe in the early 19th Century and together with exercise formed a treatment for many conditions, including arthritis and rheumatism.

The therapeutic value of massage and reflexology has, more recently been acknowledged mainly as a result from an increase in the demand for alternative complimentary medicine. Orthodox medical professionals now recognise the benefits of this fastest growing natural healing art in the country and increasingly worldwide.
