Join us for a blissful Yoga Weekend Retreat in Sardinia to Relax, Rebalance, Rejuvenate, and Restore. This immersive experience gives you the chance to bond with other women and take part in daily yoga classes on the beach in both the morning and evening.

Where?

This retreat is set by the gorgeous seaside town of Porto Pino, Sardinia. Right at the southern tip of Sardinia, this area is unspoilt by tourism and has beautiful, long stretches of sandy beach. Perfect for practising yoga on! Only 20 minutes walk away from the villa, there is an enormous pine forest and a stunningly beautiful bay with a long beach stretching for more than four kilometres. Known for its magnificent sand dunes and surrounded by ponds where you can spot pink flamingos! A beautiful sight and a great opportunity for photography enthusiasts to get some great pictures.

There is a also a very beautiful peaceful beach just opposite the villa, with crystal blue waters. Perfect for reflection time, meditation, reading or simply relaxing.

For most of the retreat, we will be practising yoga on this lovely beach right opposite the villa. Simply a stone’s throw away.

When?

The retreat will be running from the Monday 8th June – Saturday 13th June 2020. A perfect time to visit Sardinia, as it’s not too hot for yoga and sight-seeing.

Who Is It For?

The Sardinia yoga retreat is ideal for beginners and intermediates, as there will be a variety of classes held during the retreat to suit. This is the perfect opportunity for those wanting to escape from it all and completely relax. The yoga will be a combination of Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin, meaning there will be plenty to do for all levels of ability. Whatever your personal needs, and whatever you’re looking to take from a retreat, this retreat will provide the space for you to find it.

Accommodation:

We will be staying in a lovely, semi-detached villa down a very peaceful track, two minutes walk to the beach.  For guests, there are four double rooms and two dorms with two bunks in each. The bedrooms are basic, the accommodation is comfortable and clean. There are some lovely outside spaces for relaxing and it is in a fantastic location!

The Beach:

A two-minute walk down a cactus and rosemary lined sand track to the small, but beautiful beach with the perfect sea for swimming. There are plenty of tracks to walk, rocks to scramble over, spaces to sunbathe and peaceful corners to find all to yourself.  Within a 20 minute walk you reach the stunning Porto Pino beach – 2 miles of white sand and clear sea.

Supporting the local tourism community:

As a family we have been visiting Sardinia for a few years now, and we have made friends with some of the locals whom businesses we support when we visit. There are a couple of restaurants we always use, right on the Porto Pino beach front, with wonderful fresh and local produce. We also have the treat of having Manuela Mattioni who stays with us as our local guide to life in Sardinia.

The Yoga Space:

The beach will be our outdoor yoga space to practice on in the early morning, and evening. There is also a turfed garden and a sheltered yoga space at the villa for when the sun gets too much.

Our Guest Teachers and Resident Cook:

We are so excited and honoured this year to have Lynn Moseley accompanying us this year as our guest teacher. Lynn will be providing aromatherapy to our chakra based yoga practise throughout the week.

Plus, we are so pleased to have Josie Buck – The Mindful Cook – providing healthy, nutritious and delicious evening meals for us again this year.

Added Extras:

You can book a private session with Lynn for a personal exploration of chakras related to aromathrapy, and with Jackie for aromatherapy massage with specific chakra related oils. You can also book a private yoga session with Jackie to develop a home practise together suitable for your needs.

How Much?

Overall, the total cost will be only £525! This amount is for two yoga sessions a day, four delicious evening meals cooked by the expert chef Josie Buck – The Mindful Cook, help yourself breakfast every morning, accommodation in our comfortable villa, and taxi transfers from Cagliari Airport at 5.30pm on Monday 8th June and to Cagliari airport 5.30pm on Saturday 13th June. You can also pay in two instalments by paying a £200 deposit on booking. Please note, because of overheads, the deposit is non refundable.

If we haven’t won you over with yoga twice a day on a beautiful, clear blue sea beach. Then how about time to relax, walk, sunbathe and re-discover your own personal freedom and the inner space in you. This retreat is a women’s only retreat. Giving you the chance to connect, bond and make special memories with other women through yoga, good food, and sunshine.

Arrival:

Flights can be booked to Cagliari (not included) and a taxi will be provided to transfer you to and from the villa at the appointed times above. Note if you would like to arrive before the retreat, or after the retreat, then take a stay in Cagliari town and simply make your way to and from the retreat collection point by using the easy rail connection that connects Cagliari town to Cagliari airport. Upon arrival at the villa, you will be shown around and to your room and given the chance to settle in before our evening meal together. Food:

Breakfast and four evening meals are included in the price. Orange Grove Retreats is so happy to work in partnership with The Mindful Cook, to bring you delicious meals created by Josie Buck. The food on offer is delicious home-cooked Mediterranean meals which will be freshly prepared on site and served to you under the stars or in the villa. The below meals will be included in the retreat:

Please note the below items are not included, so please bring some extra cash for these additional extras. Please note; there is only so much bottled water we can house at the villa, so we do recommend you stock up on water on your way to and from the beach.

 

  • Dinner at a restaurant cafe on Porto Pino beach on Thursday night.
  • Thursday excursion – €30 Euro each for mini-bus.
  • Private yoga, massage or aromatherapy sessions.
  • No drinks or lunches are included. Please make sure you bring some spending money to ensure you can purchase snacks, beverages or souvenirs from the surrounding area or when we are out and about on the excursion.

Other Things to Do:

Walk the many beautiful forest trails along the winding beach.
Walk in the peaceful Canadian pine forest, just a short distance away.
Take a boat trip. It costs €70 euros for a day. We can help you book this.
