This weekend retreat is all about the mum and daughter connection. Set in mid-September to help combat the post summertime and perhaps new school year blues this retreat aims to set the tone for the coming months of communication, care and collaboration within the most special relationship of mother and daughter.
The intention of this retreat is to give us tools of togetherness like massage, mindfulness and positive mind-set, but also to look at inspirational females, women who inspire us with strength, empathy, resilience and feminine power from Billie Eilish, to Beyonce, from Kate Tempest, to Durga the yoga warrior! This weekend is contemporary and current, with a soundtrack designed to enthuse our yoga practises as we strut our stuff with some more powerful yoga, then sink into ourselves and each other with more meaningful prose and poetry, written by some of the best feminine poets and writers of our time. There will be inspirational practises and engaging workshops based around these themes.
Who is it suitable for?
Jackie Heffer-Cooke: Yoga Expert is skilled at providing adaptations to suit different levels of asana (poses and postures) ability. Jackie is a teacher trainer of ‘yoga for teens’ with her ZenMuma and ZenKids teacher training school. She also has a teenage daughter herself (who will be coming to the retreat too). The yoga Jackie teaches is based on the eight limbs of yoga, so mindfulness, breath and affirmation is equally important as movement. Jackie teaches intuitively with humour, knowledge, authenticity and warmth.
