Fertility Recipes to Naturally Optimise Fertility and Your Ability to Conceive, by Kathy Payne Homeopath

Many of us recognise already the importance of eating well to naturally help support your fertility, and our nutritional therapist Catherine Jeans has many clever and simple recipes up her sleeve that you can easily incorporate into your food intake, to gently support nutrient intake.  And here is one of my personal favourites, which is a Foresight recipe for a nutrient boosting smoothie.  I believe that smoothies are an excellent way for couples trying to conceive to get a high antioxidant boost each day. This is important as boosting antioxidants may help to enhance egg and sperm quality.

Fruits with high levels of antioxidants include: strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and pomegranate. Where possible try to use organic and always rinse well before consuming.


  • 1 cup of mixed organic berries
  • 1 small organic natural, plain yoghurt
  • 1 small ripe banana (organic if possible)
  • 1 cup of pure apple juice (organic, if possible)
  • 1 tablespoon of pumpkin or flax seeds

Blend and enjoy!
